Another Week.

Well Hello All!

First, I'd like to say Happy late birthdays on here to Melissa and Allison! Yay for September birthdays!

Last week I had a big presentation in my Literary Criticism class and I was SO super nervous about it. We were not only being graded on the content of our presentation, but on our dress, presentation style, and how many verbal pauses we had. Fortunately, it went REALLY! I am so relieved and happy to get it over with! I'm pretty sure that is the scariest thing I'll do all semester.

Also, Frank and Vinney had another glam-photo shoot at the hospital (translate: ultrasound for my thyroid cysts). So far there is no conclusive information, but so FAR I think that they are the same size so I don't HAVE to have them out immediately. I'll need to have them out sometime ANYWAY, so it really is a matter of time, but not having to have another biospy or surgery while my husband is gone will be good. Definitely good. I'll keep you all posted when I get the full comparison results.

Those were the two big events of the last week, and happily, this week seems pretty boring in comparison. Class, homework, work.... that's about it! I can't believe that this is the third week of September. I keep getting wafts of the feelings I used to have this time of year when I was younger going to school on crisp Fall mornings with my collared shirt and blue pants. Man, I loved school! I guess I always have.

Anyway, things here are good. I miss my husband SO freaking much, words just can't even begin to describe it. I have a few friends who have husbands in transit coming home from their long deployments- one, who is due home any day now, has been gone for 15 months. Another should be home in about two weeks and has been gone for 12 months, and the last time he saw his wife and baby boy was in December at the baby's birth. These homecomings are so exciting, I am so thrilled for these friends. And of course, it makes me look forward to my own homecoming! :)

Hope you have a great week! I'll leave you with this little smackerel of Dutcha:

Hey there sweetness!! I'm up in the middle of the night and entertaining myself with blogs. It's good to read your update. I'm with you - I LOVE school too! All those new books...and pens....and paper....oh yeah, and the classes....and the crispness of Fall! What could be better. Um...oh yes, having your husband home! I love you. Glad we got to talk recently. See you in Denver.

Thank you for the birthday shoutout, and thank you so much for the sweet card. We are getting so close to YOUR 24th, Miss Claire. May I please request an address when you have a few minutes? Thanks!
