Sweet Surrender.

This morning I woke up at 8:30, got dressed, and ran down to my parents' room to borrow my mom's hair dryer. I noticed that my mom was still in bed, which is quite odd at that hour, but I figured she must have had a late night or not be feeling well. I used the dryer, got all ready to go, and snuck back in to replace it. On the way out of the bathroom I took another glance at the bed where my mom was laying and noticed my dad's arm (noticeably hairier than my mom's, you may imagine)! At closer inspection I realized that they were laying in eachother's arms sleeping- how beautiful! It was such a serence sight! Her head on his chest and her arm over his body, his arms embracing her, inviting her to rest. Serene and lovely- that was the way I started today. I hope to find something that real someday.

I am here.

In this chasm.

In this space.

Swindling myself in listless wondering.

Waiting for something grander.

Bigger.

Unfathomable.

I rest in You but I repeat myself.

I tear and try and reason and speak in spurts awaiting the moment you'll reveal it all.

And I know you'll solve it- you've solved it.

So I'll rend myself to you, as you asked, and I'll ask you to keep me.

And trust that you will.

It's spelled HAWAI'I

Well I'm back from the big and super fabulous famiily vacation- got to catch up with the fam, see some sites, relax, sleep, swim, and yes, I sipped a MaiTai. But just one sip. I don't actually like them very much, but oh well.

Anyway- on to the good stuff! It was GORGEOUS! We were on OAHU for 3 nights, and then MAUI for 5 nights- AMAZING! Maui was easily my preferred island, but Oahu is nothing short of wonderful! The food, though rediculously expensive, was really great overall. I even got my strawberry virgin daquiri I had been waiting for! :)

I shared a room with Elizabeth which was wonderful- we had a great time laughing at eachother and celebrating our surroundings! We missed having Ian there desperately, but that means it will be all the better having him there next year (Cause he WILL be there next year... right?).

In the end what was the best for me was being with my family. Spending time with Gavin and Kelley, Elizabeth, even Kim, Jay, Jayson, Ma and Da even though I see them fairly often. It was just great to be together with some of my favorite people in the world- I know that sounds lame, but I LOVE MY FAMILY!

I think that's all for now- I'll see if I can get some pictures up on here, or at least on yahoo photos!

One more thing.... go check out Wearescientists.com! The boys are hittin' it big in the UK! And if you have XM radio they're on it- so request away! GO WAS!
